Holy Baptism at Zion

Holy Baptism at Zion is a true celebration! For Lutherans, baptism is one of two sacraments (the other is Holy Communion). Baptism is the entry into Christian faith, by which God gives us new birth, adopts us as children, and makes us members of the body of Christ, the church.

Baptism normally takes place during Sunday worship in the midst of the congregation. It is performed using water joined with God’s saving word. In this sacrament, we believe the baptized is sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever.

Baptism is open to all ages, from infants through adult. Interested in learning more? Schedule an appointment with Pastor Timothy Weisman.
